When Julio moved to Canada back in 2004, one of the things he missed most from Mexico was the food. When the opportunity came a few years later to start a restaurant, he got right to work on creating recipes. All of the items that you will taste here are his creations - the meats, salsas, salad dressings, guscamole, rice and beans. In addition, the chili peppers used in the meats and salsas are sent directly to him from his mom in Mexico. Julio's greatest desire here is to give each one of you an authentic Mexican experience through taste and environment.

Why Did We Change Our Name?

Many of our guests know us as Motte’s Café Verde Real Mexican Grill , and we’re proud of the reputation we’ve built over the years. As we’ve continued to grow, we realized that our name didn’t always reflect who we are.

The word “Café” sometimes led people to believe we were a coffee shop or café, when in reality we’ve always specialized in fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine.

To better represent our restaurant and make it easier for new customers to find us, we have changed our name to:

Motte’s Real Mexican Grill

Only our name has changed. Everything else remains exactly the same:

* Same family-owned restaurant

* Same authentic recipes

* Same fresh, handmade food

* Same friendly staff

* Same great service

* Same location

* Same commitment to quality

This new name simply makes it clearer that we are a restaurant dedicated to serving real Mexican food.
